A walking-foot machine stitching a seam in cognac leather
The atelier

Channeled, tufted and stitched by hand.

Channels, tufts, welts and contrast stitching, in your material or ours.

Savoir-faire

The details that show from across the room.

Hands smoothing a vertical channel seam on a blush velvet banquette back

Channeling

Vertical or horizontal channels, sewn and filled one at a time, at the spacing the drawing calls for. The back reads as a rhythm rather than a surface.

Hands setting the pleats of a buttonless diamond-tufted oxblood leather back with a wooden pleating stick

Tufting

Diamond or square tufting, each tuft pulled through the foam and tied off behind the frame.

  • Contrast stitching

Topstitch in a second thread color along seams, channels and cushion edges.

  • Two-tone

Vinyl below the table line, velvet above it. Seat in one material, back in another.

  • Smooth

One face and no seams. The material does the work, so the cut has to be exact.

The library

Vinyl, velvet, leather, boucle, or the bolt you send.

The house library covers most rooms: commercial vinyl for dining rooms that wipe down nightly, velvet for lounges where the hand matters, full-grain leather cut around its natural marks, and boucle for lobbies. Your own material is welcome, and the bolt is cut only after the drawings are approved.

  • Cognac vinyl
  • Oxblood leather
  • Charcoal leather
  • Olive velvet
  • Oatmeal boucle
  • Navy velvet
  • Black vinyl

Reupholstery

Recovered, not replaced.

If the frame is sound, the booth has years left in it. We strip the old cover, replace foam where it has failed and recover the piece in vinyl, fabric or leather, staged so the room keeps running.

Questions

Before you write.

We reply within one business day. Or call (727) 935-1364.

Can you quote from photographs?

Usually. Send photographs of the room or an inspiration image with rough measurements and we can quote most pieces from that. Shop drawings follow once the design is agreed.

Do you accept my own fabric or leather?

Yes. Send your COM or COL and we confirm the yardage on the drawings before you place the mill order. The house library is there if you would rather choose from samples.

Do you work with designers and contractors?

Much of our work comes through interior designers, architects, general contractors and developers, built to their drawings and their finish schedules.

How long does a commission take?

It depends on the materials and the scope. The lead time is confirmed on your shop drawings, and rush schedules are possible on some pieces if you ask early.

Where do you deliver and install?

Anywhere in the United States. The atelier is in Clearwater, Florida, and we coordinate freight, delivery and white-glove installation from there.

Do you reupholster existing booths?

Yes. If the frame is sound we recover it in the material you choose, staged so the room stays open. Photographs and rough dimensions are enough to tell you whether it is the right call.

Send a photograph of the piece. We will tell you what it needs.
